A Realistic Wedding Catering Timeline
From first tasting to last passed dessert: what happens when.
Couples usually ask us when to lock in catering. Here is the honest schedule.
12 months out — Reserve your date. Popular Saturdays go first.
8 months out — Tasting. Bring the people whose opinions actually matter, and no more than four of them.
4 months out — Lock the menu, service style and rentals.
6 weeks out — Floor plan, timeline and vendor meal count.
10 days out — Final guest count. This is the number you pay for.
Day of — Our team arrives four hours before service for a plated dinner, three for a buffet.
